Wingate By Wyndham - Birmingham

A very pleasant surprise in quality of accommodations. A real bargain.

The hotel is located on a quiet Cul-de-sac with another property and an assisted living facility. There was little or no outside noise to disturb the guests. The room was very nice, but in this area, and at this star level, I have always stayed at a studio suite with kitchenette. That was a major disappointment to me, as my stay was for ten days. Overall satisfaction, this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Everything worked (i.e. no burned out light bulbs, etc.) and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Bed was so comfortable, a good night's sleep came easy. Clean to a fault and hot breakfast bar was excellent. There is nothing I can think of to complain of about my stay at this establishment. Although the price and location of this hotel were good, the front desk service was not helpful with any requests. In fact, I accidentally left my credit card at the front desk during check-in and they never contacted me during my stay. I only noticed after I left and had to return 25 miles for it. The common areas were in a poor state of repair (dirty carpets, broken items) and the complimentary breakfast was poorly serviced to support the number of guests. ...read more

Nice,clean,good location. I`d stay again.

For a first time user of priceline, I was very impressed by the accomodations I plan to continue to use priceline in the future and I will probably select the Wyndham Hotels on our next excursion.

Often had to wait for front desk personel. Hallways could use some vaccuuming.
